NORTH Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has added his congratulations to Ballymoney’s own Michael Dunlop who will ride for the Honda Legends team at next year’s North West 200 and Isle of Man TT road races.
Commenting on the announcement Mervyn Storey said: “This is a major factory team signing for Michael who will no doubt hope to add to his sole North West win back in 2008. It is confirmation if any were needed of how he is rated as one of most talented riders in Europe.
“Being joined on the roads by six-times North-West winner John McGuinness and Michael Rutter who has 13 career successes on the Triangle and endurance duo Simon Andrews and Cameron Donald who complete the Legends line-up proves just how Honda value the experience of Michael.
“This is a great opportunity for Micheal and I have no doubt that he is well up for the challenge. I would wish him well and congratulate him on securing this well deserved recognition.”
