Tyrone great Stephen O’Neill brought Clann na Gael level before James Darcy and Paul Gormley exchanged points.

Brendan Armstrong then joined the attack for Tattyreagh but after cutting in from the left wing, he fired narrowly wide of the target. Defender Chris McCarroll then joined the attack to point for Tattyreagh and Johnny Harkin and Cartin edged them further in front. Michael O’Neill responded for Clann na Gael but Darcy had a late brace as Tattyreagh led 0-7 to 0-3 at half-time.

Michael O’Neill and Darcy traded early second half scores before Gareth Mimnagh fisted over for a five point advantage. Clann na Gael were proving difficult to shake off with substitute Adrian Ball and Michael O’Neill both finding the range again. Darcy converted another free but defender Niall O’Neill replied for Clann na Gael.

With time running out only three points divided the two sides but league leaders Tattyreagh weren’t to be denied their place in the championship final with Sean Gormley and Darcy both registering to ensure victory.
