Special Olympians do city proud

Ten athletes and four coaches from Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club travelled to Limerick as part of Team Ulster to participate in Special Olympics National Games.

These Games were supported by family and friends of 2,000 athletes and coaches over a period of three days.

Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club had athletes competing in three sports, Bocce, 5 a side Football and Badminton. These athletes had great success, bringing back to Lisburn a stunning total of nine gold and two silver medals.

Congratulations to all the athletes for an outstanding result.
