Robinson in driving seat with top-two race double

Noel Robinson proved the model of consistency despite testing weather conditions and competition across two different class tests.

The Portadown driver made the trip to Bishopscourt in pursuit of points across the Formula Ford and BOSS Ireland championships.

Heavy rainfall served to increase the challenge of the circuit but Robinson recorded a win and runner-up position within the Formula Ford programme.

The BOSS Ireland schedule was split across two days - with Robinson pole for both and enjoying a 23-second margin of victory on the opening outing.

He crossed the line 0.3 seconds off top spot on the final day.

Robinson is the current Formula Ford championship leader entering a visit to Kirkistown on May 28 for racing across both events.
