PSNI defeat Coleraine

COLERAINE went down 2-0 to high-flying PSNI at UUJ last Saturday.

The home side dominated the first half and soon won their first penalty corner. An unstoppable shot gave them the early lead.

PSNI continued to apply pressure and within 10 minutes had won their second penalty corner and made no mistake in finding the backboard once again with another phenomenal effort.

Goalkeeper, Michelle Budina kept Coleraine in the game after making some great saves before the half time whistle.

After the interval Coleraine started to apply pressure on the home team and from the back line, Alison Caldwell was consistently able to find the space to provide theforwards with promising balls.

Coleraine continued to fight and were able to hold off the PSNI attack which continued to dominate the game. With the clock ticking and the game becoming much more physical, injuries occurred to players on both teams. Unfortunately, Coleraine were unable to make any further threats on the PSNI goal.
