McKinstry claims another PB at Buncrana

Fit N Running athlete Mark McKinstry continued his 4 year long run of sustained progression with another personal best time last Wednesday evening.

The in form athlete travelled to Buncrana to compete in the 5k against top quality opposition and was rewarded with an eight second improvement on his previous best.

He swept round the course in 15mins 10 seconds to claim eighth place.

Fit N Running started their 2 new classes recently. The 8week beginners running class began on Monday evening while the 8 week Speed development class started on Wednesday evening.

The course will teach proper running technique, warm up and cool down routines using a range of modern training and strength/conditioning methods.

The speed development course is beneficial to all sportspeople regardless of your sport or club.

TRAINING TIMES

Fit N Running weekly sessions and times are as follows: Monday 615pm Recreational Run; Monday 730pm Beginners Run; Wednesday 615pm Conditioning Circuit class; Wednesday 730pm Speed development Course; Thursday 430pm Elite Development squad training (Race preparation session); Thursday 630pm Flexibility Class (Private Studio); Saturday 915am Elite Development squad training ( Race preparation session at various locations).

Unless stated these sessions are from the Ballymena North Centre.
