Lindsay wins at Faughan Valley

GIVEN the inclement weather conditions the St. Patrick’s Day confined stableford sponsored by Open + Direct commercial had a great turnout

with James Lindsay (3) taking first place with birdies at 9, 11, 13, and 14 to finish off with 39 points.

Second place after a break of tie finish was claimed by Conrad Carlin (16) with 38 points and David McDaid (22) who also scored 38 points was third.

The Front nine went to Richard Godfrey (15) after he scored 21 points and Alan Cheung (17) with 20 points won the back nine.

Gross winner was Paul Duffy (6) who finished with 79 Gross and the Ladies prize went to Loren Smallwoods (20) with a great score of 44 points.

While the results of the Texaco filling station, Muff 10 sheet challenge to date are Sheet 1 John O’Neil (8) 43 points. Sheet 2 Neil Duncan (13) 47 points. Sheet 3 Brendan Carton (19) 46 points. Sheet 4 Robert Smallwoods (15) 41 points. Sheet 5 Terry Dornan (Captain) (13) 44 points. Sheet 6 John kelly (8) 45 points.

Last weeks Captain and Lady Captain’s drive in was cancelled due to the sad passing of former Captain Cecil King’s mother for which Council and members offer their deepest sympathy.

The rescheduling of the Captain and Lady Captain’s Drive In shall take place this Saturday at 2pm, followed by a 10 hole mixed doubles with a shot gun start.

This weekend is a Open Stableford and a time sheet is in operation. The next council meeting shall take place at the clubhouse on Thursday, March 28, at 7.30pm sharp.
