Last week of winter league at Lambeg

THE Winter League competition is reaching its climax at Lambeg Golf Club, with only one week remaining before the main competitions begin.

Played over fifteen holes, the winner is the player with the most points accumulated from the best five weekly competitions since the beginning of January and the favourite is Aaron Smylie with 187 points. In second place is Club Secretary, Darren McShane, with 177 pts and is the only player who has a realistic chance of catching Aaron. The remaining players in the top ten are as follows, 3rd Raymond Rogers,176 pts., 4th John Leydon 175 pts., 5th Gary Scott 174 pts., Joint 6th with 173 pts are M.English, T.Hamilton and J.McGrath. Joint 9th A. Sturgeon and S. Thornhill, 172 pts.
