Gracehill Monthly Medal for Wallace

The first Monthly Medal of the new season at Gracehill deservedly went to Wallace McKeeman with a fine 69 nett score one ahead of Michael Liken and Joe Sloan who were so close to an opening success in the stroke format in Division 1.

Another McKeeman, this time Mervyn, had a great round and posted a nett 65 which was nine strokes better than his nearest rivals Charles Hamill and Ian Marr both on 74 for 2nd and 3rd.

The following day Pete Cronin bagged the sweep prize with 37 points to win on countback from Ian Morrison and Steven Bell in third with 36.

Greg Magee had a great back nine to add 23 points to his 20 point total to take the highly coveted McCarroll plate with three points to spare from Drew Cochrane and Johnny Munnis who had excellent back nines of 24 and 23 to take 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Trevor Edgar was 4th with from Paul Scullion both on 39 points . Next week (Sat) sees the popular Fred Daly Qualifying Competition at Gracehill.
