Celebrations at Dunmurry prize-giving

The Annual Prize Giving and supper was held in Dunmurry Golf Club on Friday 9th October.

Lady Captain Claire Johnston thanked all those who had helped organise the evening, including a special mention to lady members who had donated prizes for some of the competitions.

After the buffet supper Lady Captain presented the many cups and trophies to the worthy winners.

Donna Gillespie, after her outstanding golf throughout the year won the much coveted Golfer of the Year trophy.

Meanwhile, the Annual Ladies Dinner was held in Dunmurry Golf Club on Friday 20th November with an excellent attendance, organised by Vice Captain Fionnuala McGrady.

In her speech Fionnuala welcomed everyone to the dinner and thanked Lady Captain Claire Johnston for her commitment in fulfilling her many duties representing the club throughout the year.

After the meal Lady Captain thanked Fionnuala and all involved in organising the evening.

Fionnuala then gave a power point presentation of Claire’s life including pictures from her early years and all the events in her Lady Captain’s year.

She then presented her with a past captain’s broach.

Donna Gillespie as Golfer of the Year presented Lady Captain with a bouquet of flowers and thanked her on behalf of all the prize winners.

The evening was enjoyed by all especially by some of the ladies who have started this year on the Taster Session.
