Tullygally warmed up and began to fight back and created a few chances with Mickey Rooney and Micheal Toland both coming close. The half ended 0-0.

The second half started well for the Gally, who were playing better and dominated in spells creating chances with some good passing and movement.

St Mary's came close from a free kick which produced an outstanding save from Thomas Grey in the Tullygally goal.

The deadlock was broken by Colin Grimley Who beat two players and rounded the St Mary's keeper to put the Gally 1-0 up. The Gally held on for 20 minutes and with the end of the game is sight thought it might be their day only for the equalizer to be flicked in from another free kick from St Mary's.

The Gally were on the back foot again and were thankful that the defence were in top form with Mark McConville and Christopher Halfpenny alongside young Tiernan patterson and Stephen Magee all having a solid performance.

The full time result was 1-1 so both teams headed in for extra time which no one could capitalize on and so the game went to penalties.

Unfortunately the Gally were beaten 4-3 on penalties but can hold their heads up

in the knowledge that they held their own against a St Mary's team which will be challenging for the reserve 1 title.
