The rest of the week’s results from the Academy

AFTER a break due to the Easter holidays and the recent bad weather football fever returned at the Lisburn Distillery Academy.

The U14s gained a creditable 2-2 draw with Sunnyside, Tyler Guy and Leon Young getting the goals.

Dromara were defeated 2-1 by the U15s, Taylor Evans and Brian Troher were the goalscorers as the wee whites got their title challenge back on track in a six-point game.

In another six-pointer the U16s weren’t at their best but two goals from Marty Greenfield (one penalty) and a one from Rhys Grainger was enough to see off Sunnyside.

Despite the heroics from goalkeeper Luke Johnston the U11s lost 6-1 to Lurgan, Adam Hamilton the name on the scoresheet in this one.

The U17s had a 1-0 win in a derby duel with Hillsborough. Stevie Nutts U12s extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches, goals from Keaton Hamilton, Ub Ottong and Jack Malcomson were enough for 3-2 victory over Ballymena and Lewis Parker scored from the penalty spot as the U-12s drew 1-1 with Lurgan.

In the mini-soccer Conall Cunningham, Spencer Maxwell and Matthew Moore were among the goals in games against Sydenham and Celtic Boys.
