Reserves progress in cup

LURGAN TOWN Reserves secured a league cup win over Laurelvale Reserves last weekend.

Town were always on top but it took a superb free kick from Nathan Crozier which went in off the post to break the deadlock. Town’s second goal came from a tremendous passing move involving half the team before Jason Donaghey put Andy Heaney in to score before half time.

Crozier was controlling the game and broke from his own half through the Vale defence only to see his shot come off the keeper’s foot straight to Andrew Houston to hammer into the empty net.

Houston got Town’s fourth when he beat the defence to the ball, he held off a last ditch tackle to round the keeper and score.

Great performance from everyone in the team to reach the final 16.
