McStravick brace wraps up success

Dee McStravick’s double kicked off then closed the Silverwood United scoring in a weekend Mid-Ulster Shield success against Goodyear.

The first-round derby date opened with a McStravick finish then Shane Doran doubled the advantage.

Shane Russell converted off a tight angle and McStravick wrapped up the tie with a late fourth for Silverwood.

Aidan Lavery proved impressive between the Goodyear posts, with Neill Scullion and Ryan Loughran each strong along the backline.

Goodyear picked up a weekend win in Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Four as Brendan Kerr’s players posted points for the first time this campaign.

Manny Smith and Conor Doran also looked sharp in midfield, with Aaron Creaney grabbing the only goal off good work by captain Dan Allison.

Additional chances arrived for Goodyear’s Steven Mulvenna and Conor Lamph before the final whistle confirmed a welcome win.
