With an understandable change to the fixture (our thoughts are with Hunter’s family, friends and teammates), Dungiven Celtic kindly stepped in to give our boys a good game.

MSB had plenty of first half chances following excellent passing play. Man of the match Scott Bradley finally got the first with a nicely placed shot into the corner of the net.

MSB didn’t have it all their own way and Dungiven got a goal back from a goalmouth scramble. The boys showed a great attitude and continued to press.

A good free kick from Caolan fell to Tom for a cool finish. A win with really good team spirit - they did Gerry proud.

MSB U10 colts continued their winning ways this morning at Coleraine.

After beating Old Mill Meadow on Friday night they faced Ballycastle and an excellent team performance in which they were assisted by two U9s Ethan Martin and Caedan Cushley saw them run out 5-2 winners.

A completely dominant performance from the U9s saw them run out comfortable 6-0 winners this morning in Coleraine.

They took the lead early on through Ashton Taylor with a tidy finish past Bertie’s keeper.

Bertie’s fought hard to get back in the game but our defensive pairing of Conor Martin and Man of the Match Cahair Kerr cleaned up everything that came at them leaving ‘keeper Niall Doherty with very little to do for most of the game.

Fionn Gallagher made it 2-0 after his first effort was saved by the Bertie’s keeper but he followed up the rebound. Fionn could have made it 3-0 before half time after he was found by Ashton with a fabulous cross field ball and he hit it on the half volley only to see it fly over the crossbar.

Eoin Rocks did make it 3-0 in the second half after some dogged midfield work by Jamie Mullan and Ethan Martin. Caedan Cushley scored a brace to make it 5-0 and Eoin finished superbly into the bottom corner with his trusty left boot to make it 6-0 and to round off a fantastic team display of football.
