Barn Under-15s ease past Ballysillan

Barn’s goalkeeper, Josh Downey, pulled of some fine saves early on to keep the score level but Bloomfield made the breakthrough on five minutes.

Straight from the kick-off Barn’s midfield of Jake Hancox, James Mayne, Lewis Beattie, Josh McFadden and Ethan McGreevy upped the tempo but couldn’t get the equaliser their play deserved.

Five minutes before the break Bloomfield struck again to double their advantage.

After the break Bloomfield made it three and were firmly in the driving seat when Bradley Dixon and Ethan McGreevy were both sent off for picking up two yellow cards.

The nine men of Barn rallied and pulled a goal back but with numerical superiority, the visitors went on to make it 4 - 1.

Barn broke the deadlock when Tyler Barclay sent Barry Watson through on the right and he cut into the box before unleashing and unstoppable shot to put his side one up.

Barn netted a fortuitous second when Tyler Barclay’s shot from 20 yards deflected off Elliot McCrory’s back, catching the keeper off guard to put Barn 2-0 up.

Number three came courtesy of Elliot McCrory who broke free and slotted the ball past the Ballysillan keeper after some good work in midfield.
