Ballymacash travelled to Ballyclare recently and came away with a vital win that leaves them in second place, three points behind league leaders Taughmonagh at the top of the South Belfast League with only four games remaining.
Ballymacash had won the corresponding fixture 7-1 but found Ballyclare to be a much improved side as their recent good form suggested.
Thomas Rea put Ballymacash in front just before half time pouncing on a loose ball after the Ballyclare keeper had parried a Nathan Patterson shot.
Adam Wright scored the second early in the second half when he raced onto a through ball from Brad Tunstall and kept his cool to slide the ball past the advancing keeper.
