FOOTBALL: Coleraine players to promote 'Fair Play' this weekend

COLERAINE players will show their support for Royal Mail's Fair Play initiative this weekend, by wearing armbands.

This will be the second time this season that the 12 Premiership Club will unite in a bid to promote Fair Play in the sport.

The Royal Mail Fair Play weekends are in addition to the monthly Royal Mail Fair Play awards handed out by the Irish Football Association to clubs with the best disciplinary record each month.

Over the course of each month, points are given to all teams whose players receive single yellow cards (1 point), two yellow cards (3 points) and straight red cards (5 points).

The points total is then divided by the number of games played to give a 'points per game' total. Glentoran currently sit on top of the Royal Mail Fair Play League.
