First win of the season for Hilden away to Ballywalter

Hilden recorded their first win of the season when they travelled to Ballywalter in Private Greens Senior 2 and took six points from a 20 shots win.

A three and a six helped Raymond Gourley to a 16-3 lead at the tenth but he slipped to 17-11 at 17 ends and though dropping a four and a three Hilden still got home by two shots.

After starting with three Jonathan McMullan added a four and a three to lead 20-4 at 12 ends and after dropping two doubles Hilden came back with two three and went on to win by 14 shots.

At 12 ends Maurice Kirkwood was 10-6 ahead before dropping two singles. Hilden won all but one of the remaining ends and included a three to win by nine shots.

Down 2-14 at 11 ends and though lifting a three 5-18 at 15 ends, Colin Montgomery lifted four three and finished with a four though losing by five shots.

Ivan Craig’s win by 25 shots made a difference for Lisnagarvey when they claimed five points from a four shots win away to Dundonald in NIBA Division 1.

Down 9-15 at the tenth David Boal was then 12-23 adrift at 15 ends and lost by 18 shots. At the tenth Noel Graham was 12-4 ahead and moved to 18-8 by 15 ends before going on to win by 15 shots.

Down 5-17 at the tenth and 12-25 at 15 ends Keith Morrison fell further back to lose by 18 shots. Ivan Craig was 16-4 ahead at the tenth and increased the lead to 25-6 by 15 ends. Garvey continued to pull away and won by 25 shots.
