Carrick CC paired with Downpatrick in Senior Cup

CARRICKFERGUS Cricket Club have been drawn away from home in the second round of the Northern Cricket Union’s Senior Challenge Cup next season.

The Middle club will travel to Downpatrick and the tie will be on May 25.

Ulster Bank has announced its renewed sponsorship of both NCU Senior Cup and League competitions. The Cup will be played between the eight Premiership and 10 Section 1 teams and the full draw is:

First round (Saturday, May 4): Dundrum v Templepatrick; Laurelvale v Cliftonville.

Second round (Saturday, May 25): Derriaghy v Civil Service North; Downpatrick v Carrickfergus; Lurgan v Woodvale; Dundrum / Templepatrick v Waringstown; Muckamore v Ballymena; Instonians v CIYMS; Laurelvale / Cliftonville v Donacloney; Lisburn v North Down.

The draw was made by Ireland’s National Coach, Phil Simmons, and Stephen Cruise from Ulster Bank.
