Ryan and Michael were involved in two close fights, which they were both very unlucky not to win, whilst Jason Corry and Thomas Orr won the championships.

Thomas fought on the Saturday in which he finished his opponent within 30 seconds with some powerful body and head shots in the first round.

Thomas had to fight again the next day and again in the first round stopped his opponent with a volley of left and rights to the head and a wicked right hand to the body.

Thomas was in the final to be held the following Saturday. Thomas’ opponent in the final stood head and shoulders above Thomas. As the bell went, Thomas quickly went to work on his opponent with left and rights to the head and body which troubled his man and the ref stepped in and gave his man a standing 8 count.

Thomas saw his chance and quickly pounced with head and body shots which had his man reeling onto the ropes and the ref jumped in and stopped the fight and Thomas Orr became the Ulster 9 County Boy 11 years 33 kgs champion.

Jason Corry got a walkover as there was nobody for him to fight in his weight.

The club would like to thank Thomas Orr and Jason Corry on winning the Ulster Nine Counties. They look forward to many more winners in competitions.
