Barn duo complete new Strabane half-marathon
Barn Runners Andrew Stevenson and Emma Wightman took part in the Strabane - Lifford Half-Marathon on Sunday (May 11).
The event was organised by Strabane District Council in partnership with Lifford Athletic Club. It was the region’s first-ever cross-border half-marathon and 5k fun run / walk, which organisers now hope to be a regular annual event.
Stevenson paced his brother around the course for a sub 1:40 time, and completed the route in 1:38.
Emma Wightman ran the course in 2:19. Emma took up running last year, and recently completed the Rome Marathon.
