Ballymoney team success at PTL Finals

Ballymoney Swimming club had a large representation at the PTL Finals in Ballymena, coming away with 2 gold (Claire Morrison 50 Fly and Eoin Mullan 50 Freestyle), 7 silver and 7 bronze medals as well as several swimmers on the winning North Ulster Freestyle Relay Team.

Antrim Open Championships - There were 9 swimmers from Ballymoney competing in this gala and the team came home with a total of 7 Gold, 3 silver and 3 Bronze medals. Congratulations to Claire Morrison who reached the prestigious50 Fly Skins final.

Ards Junior Open - Six swimmers and had a successful day. Congratulations to Luke Hunter and Harris Flemming on making their Open competition debuts and to Eoin Mullan for winning the Ards Top Boy award. The club returned with 7 Gold and 2 Bronze medals with many qualifying times and PB’s.

Swim Ulster – Development and Qualifying Galas - Ballymoney swimmers attended both the 4th Development Gala in Larne and The Summer Qualifying Gala in Bangor. Well done to Karen & Craig McLaughlin, Eilís Mullan and Tea McWilliam for achieving qualifying times and their excellent swims in the Bangor Long Course Qualifying competition. The team won 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals at these two events. Ballymoney have had a fantastic 2015/2016 season a fantastic haul of 91 medals - 31 gold, 30 silver, 30 bronze. Most notable wins came in November for the 12 and Under Boys 50m Freestlyle relay team at the War Memorial Gala. Claire Morrison reached the 50m butterfly skins final at the Antrim Championships and Eoin Mullan won the Top Boy award at the Ards Open.
