The slideshow attached captures some of the picturesque scenes to be found on the hills overlooking Drumahoe and Londonderry.

With snowdrifts several feet deep it made motoring impossible, and in places trees weighed down with the white stuff were bent towards the road surface. On Curryfree Road, close to the junction with Trench Road, the weight of snow on one tree brought it down, adding to the misery for motorists trying to get home on Tuesday night.
