Van stolen in Maghera creeper burglary burnt out in Belfast

Police say a van stolen during a creeper burglary in Maghera, was later found burnt out in Belfast.

According to a PSNI spokesperson, a house in the Edenview Court was broken into in the early hours of Sunday, February 20.

Keys to the grey Renault Traffic mini-van were taken and it is thought to have travelled from Maghera along the A6.

The PSNI spokesman added: “We believe it may have travelled along the M22 and possibly onto the M2 into Belfast. Did you see it at any time? If you can help please call the 101 number, quoting reference number 22420216. Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
