Used his mobile phone while driving

A 36-year-old man was fined £150 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for using a mobile phone while driving on June 15.

Glen Thomas Haggan, of Strawhill Manor, Donaghcloney, was also given three penalty points.

As well he was fined £150 for driving with an inappropriate licence for the vehicle and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that the defendant was seen using the mobile phone while he was driving.

He was offered a fixed penalty but could not take this up because he did not have the licence to drive the class of car he was in at the time.
