Rev. McBeth told the Sentinel he was delighted by the turnout for the fundraising gig, which featured Downtown Radio presenter, “Keep It Country” Warren Smyth, and Southern Gospel Group, Simple Faith.

Rev. McBeth told the Sentinel: “We raised £2,400 at the charity concert and that was divided between three charities, Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s and the Children’s Cancer Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital.”

“The wife works in Seymour Gardens, the Alzheimer’s Unit and I’d be up in the Royal Victoria Hospital quite often seeing children. They were all close to my heart, those three charities,” he said.

According to the local clergyman a great evening was had by all.

“It was a packed house. Everyone really enjoyed it. Everyone enjoyed the night’s crack,” he said.
