Limavady District Master Mark Smyth commented: “Limavady District is proud to host this year’s Twelfth celebrations. The celebrations this year are of particular significance for Limavady District as we welcome the full County of Londonderry who, together with our neighbours from Co Donegal and City Grand Lodge, will join together for the first time in over 20 years.

“We will also be joined by visitors from Scotland, England and USA. In recognition of the scale of this year’s event we have been delighted to have been awarded Flagship status under the auspices of The Grand Lodge of Ireland and the NI Tourist Board and as a District we trust that you will enjoy programme of events we have lined up.

The programme is the culmination of significant planning and countless meetings and I wish to place on record my thanks to all who have contributed in the organisation of the programme.

“I would also thank our sponsors for the advertisements placed on our website and our Twelfth booklet which has helped defray some of the costs for the event. As a District we seek to be proactive and I would encourage our young men to consider joining our ranks. So bring the family down on Saturday 28th and to the other events we have organised to celebrate and learn.”
