Newtownabbey road closed for works

Motorists are advised that a section of Ballyhenry Avenue in Glengormley is closed for works.

The road closure, which commenced at 9.30am today (Wednesday, July 15), is operating from Ballyhenry Road to Ballyhenry Parade.

The closure is required for NIE essential works.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has suggested two alternative routes.

Diversion one - Glenvarna Drive - B90 Ballyhenry Road.

Diversion two - Ballyhenry Road - Sandyknowes Roundabout and back then follow diversion one.

The work is being carried out by NIE contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is set to be completed by 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 21.
