Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the competition is in support of Lurgan being chosen as a pilot for the first ever official ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ town!

Inventive foodies are being invited to submit their best leftover and rescue recipe ideas, which can be either a starter, main or dessert and which should include at least one ingredient which is a ‘leftover’.

It could, for example, include leftovers such as pasta, unused bread or wilting fruit and vegetables – giving them a new lease of life as they are transformed into a delicious dish!

There will be goody bags for the three winners, packed full to the brim of culinary essentials!
