Three Dungannon women to stand trial for attack on another woman

Three women have been returned for trial on assault charges, with two facing additional allegations.

Sharon Conlan (42) from Gleanniseal, Carrie Donaghy (23) from Old Mill Place and Clare Doran (30) from Lurgylea Road, all in Dungannon, are accused of assaulting a woman occasioning actual bodily harm on December 8 2013. D

onaghy is also charged with a lesser assault on a second woman and Conlan similarly stands charged with assaulting a man.

A preliminary enquiry at East Tyrone Magistrates Court heard there is a prima facie case to answer. None of the accused spoke except to confirm they understood the charges and declined to call witnesses or give evidence during the short hearing. District Judge John Meehan ordered the accused to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on August 28. All three were remanded on continuing bail.
