Three charged over stabbing

THREE young Lurgan men have appeared in court charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in Albert Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man in his 20s was stabbed in the back at around 2.15am.

Gary Damien Scullion (18), of Campbell Walk was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He was remanded in custody.

James Scullion (22), of Brownlow Terrace was charged with attempted murder. He was remanded on bail.

A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was remanded in custody to the Young Offenders Centre at Hydebank.

The trio are due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on November 19.
