Quiz master for the evening was Area representative Joan Arnold who got under way with the questions. There were five rounds of 10 general knowledge questions.

After the second round answers had been collected, the first round answers were given out, the teams knew where they had gone wrong or right, as the case may be.

After all the questions had been asked and answer sheets given in and marked, there was a clear winning team, the Fifteens who were Islandmagee North represented by A Chin, S Sinclair and C Smith. The runner-up team was from Magheramorne, represented by D Murray, E Workman and B Long.

The presentation was made to the teams by Joan Arnold and Area president Jacqueline Moore.
