Swann condemns war memorial attack
Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA and Chairman of the Stormont Employment and Learning Committee has condemned the attack on Ballycastle War Memorial, “at a time when the entire community is fighting together to save the Dalriada Hospital, those who would wish to disrupt this unity will not succeed”.
Assemblyman Swann, who is also UUP Chief Whip and North Antrim UUP Chairman, added: “As we commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, and have welcomed Irish politicians across the nation on Remembrance Sunday, those vandals who committed this wanton act of ignorance must be condemned and brought to account for their actions.
“I appeal to the community to give whatever information they can to the PSNI,” said Mr Swann.
