Stone thrown at train

Police in Ballymoney are investigating after a stone was thrown at the window of a moving train leaving Ballymoney station.

The stone was thrown approximately 100 metres from the train station, north bound, at approximately 9pm last night (19/04/12). The window of the train was broken. No one was injured.

Neighbourhood Inspector David Anderson said: “This was an unbelievably stupid and dangerous act. The individuals who threw the stone need to consider what could have happened had the driver or passengers been hurt or if they had caused a tragedy, how would that feel?
