St Killian’s College is in line for rebuild

St Killian’s College in Carnlough is one of 15 schools to benefit from a £170m capital investment by the Department of Education.

MP Sammy Wilson stated: “Finally the capital spending at St Killians in Carnlough, a school which I have had the pleasure of visiting on a number of a occasions to see the challenges faced by the amalgamation which is now two years old. Sports facilities are very poor and the capital build will ensure that the deficiencies are addressed.”

MLA Oiver McMullan added that the plans would “provide the local community with a great asset that can be used for after school activities.” He continued: “I now look forward to seeing this school transformed and I also believe that the local economy will benefit during the construction stage.” East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson also welcomed the plans, which he said needed to be ‘turned into real action on the ground.’
