SPAR’s Balmoral Show winner drives away the prize

LOCAL woman, Bronagh O’Connell from the Portglenone area is celebrating winning SPAR’s recent Balmoral Show competition.

Throughout the three-day event (May 16-18) at the King’s Hall, Belfast, platinum sponsors SPAR were giving visitors to its shop the chance to win a fabulous children’s Massey Ferguson tractor and trailer plus £50 SPAR voucher and other goodies.

Over 500 people entered the competition with the winner selected at random. Bronagh was presented last week with her prize by Tom Graham, store owner of SPAR Ahoghill.

Speaking on her win Bronagh said: “I am thrilled to have won this great price courtesy of SPAR. I was shocked when I received the phone call but equally delighted. The £50 shopping voucher will come in very handy, not to mention the tractor and trailer which will provide the children with hours of enjoyment, especially if the good weather holds up.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank SPAR for the fantastic prize and hope I’m as lucky when attending their shop at Balmoral Show in future years.”

SPAR opened its first-ever shop at the show, as a further development on its three year platinum sponsorship of the event, and it was a brilliant success. Not only was the shop busy throughout the three days, it also presented SPAR with a great platform to educate and introduce its shoppers to its strong local credentials and SPAR Own Brand range.
