ShelterBox appeal support
Along with others, the school supported the Rotary Club of Carrickfergus ShelterBox appeal and just before Christmas handed over a cheque for £1,248 which will purchase and transport two fully equipped boxes.
Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced and homeless. It includes thermal blankets, insulated ground sheet, mosquito nets, water purification kit, a stove, a toolkit, cooking and eating utensils and a children’s pack with drawing books, crayons and pens.
