Pupils get certificates

ROAD safety education has been taking on a new dimension at Lurgan Model Primary School.

The school has been taking part in the Practical Child Pedestrian Safety Training scheme, which involves close co-operation with the DoE Road Safety Education Office in Armagh to combine a practical training element with classroom instruction.

Year Three pupils recently undertook a walk along paths alongside streets in the general area of the school; where the associated road safety problems were encountered, discussed and negotiated.
