A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said they received a call at 11:47am and two appliances from Portadown Fire Station and one from Armagh Fire Station were deployed to the scene.

He added, “Firefighters using breathing apparatus and jets dealt with a fire that spread in the area. Scorch damage was caused to a farm shed nearby.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 1:58pm.”

It is believed the fire spread after controlled burning of the trees.
