Police seek help with a bit of sole searching

Lisburn Police have appealed to members of the public to help them locate the soles of a suspect's shoes, which they believe were discarded in a bid to get rid of evidence.

Local officers are dealing with several people in custody who were arrested yesterday (Wednesday) for a number of offences, including burglary.

Appealing to the people of Lisburn to help them locate what could be vital evidence against one of those arrested, PSNI Lisburn posted on Facebook: “One of these people had no soles on his shoes when he was arrested and we believe that he has deliberately removed them in an attempt to remove evidence.

“We believe that these soles may have been discarded somewhere in Lisburn in the area around the POND PARK ROAD, ANTRIM ROAD and TESCO at Bentrim Road. It is possible they may have been thrown into a garden.”

The post concludes: “If you live in this area and have noticed shoe soles or any unusual discarded items please contact Crime Support Team at Strandtown via 101 quoting serial 629 of 22/03/17.”
