Police appeal after road death

Police have confirmed that one person has died following a two vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the Agivey Road in Kilrea at approximately 8.15am this morning, Thursday 03 April.

A second person has been taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The Agivey Road remains closed and there are no further details at this time.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Agivey Road around the time of the collision to contact them at the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
