Pedal power pushes up the funds for pupil’s charity

PUPILS at Barbour Nursery School in Lisburn recently took part in a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for the school and their chosen charity Struggle Against Muscular Dystrophy (SAM).

Their efforts are all the more important this year as the charity they have chosen was started by the parents of a pupil at the school after their son Sam McCausland was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy.

Sam is currently enjoying nursery school life and is a very bright, independent and energetic little boy. Sam was able to take part in the bike ride and every child was supported in their efforts by parents, friends and grandparents who came along to watch.

Some help was needed at times to give a push, but all children worked very hard to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
