Trust to review access issues at Glengormley unit
DUP councillors Robert Hill and Audrey Ball have thanked the Northern Health and Social Care Trust for its prompt reply to complaints concerning disability access at Glengormley Community Services Centre on the Carnmoney Road.
“We had both received complaints from wheelchair users telling us of the problems they were having trying to gain access through the two sets of manual doors, even when accompanied by an able bodied family member or friend,” Cllr Hill explained.
“The Trust have now confirmed through their Director of Planning, Performance Management and Support Services that a review of the unit is under way, and that the deficiencies identified will be included.”
Cllr Hill revealed that results of the review are due to be published in the coming days and said he is hopeful that the access issues at the unit can be “resolved to the satisfaction of all.”
