“This year, we are delighted to once again support the Northern Ireland Hospice and in particular their Buy a Brick campaign.”

John Phillips, community fundraiser, said: “We are delighted that Newtownabbey Rotary Club has chosen to support our charity through their event.

“Northern Ireland Hospice is currently in temporary accommodation at Whiteabbey Hospital while works gets under way to rebuild Somerton House, which was no longer fit for purpose.

“We need to raise £2.1million to build a new hospice to match the high standards of care provided by the Northern Ireland Hospice.

“This would not be possible without the support of the local community and organisations like Newtownabbey Rotary Club who have supported us so generously.”
