Carnlough Vintage Society run for 53 tractors

There was a good turnout of 53 tractors, some from as far away as Straid, at the recent vintage road run organised by the Carnlough Vintage Society.

The cavalcade set off from William and Maureen Wright’s Farm, Largy Road, to Gartford, down Drumourne, up to Slane, and onward to the farm of Hugh McCollum on the Ballyvaddy Road, before stopping at Darwin and Joanne Gaston’s farm for lunch, provided by Gillian Wharry Catering.

The tractor boys headed down the Ballyvaddy Road, to O’Kane Brothers’ ground, and then to Glenarm Estate, before finishing up in the village.

Next up for the vintage society is their annual Vintage Day, held in the village on Saturday, August 2.
