NW fosterer urges attendance

A local foster carer is urging people to attend information evenings in the Fir Trees, Strabane, and Da Vinci’s, Londonderry, on Monday, October 13, and Wednesday, October 15, respectively.

Both meetings will take place at 7.30pm.

Mairead Brady said: “Please don’t do what I did for some time, rule yourself out before you have even made the call to enquire first.

“Remember there are no set rules for fostering; just the potential of making a difference in a child’s life, regardless of their age or background.

“If you have considered fostering make the phone call and ask or come along to the information evenings because a child or young person needs you right now!”
