New Christianity Explored course takes off in Linn Primary School

A NEW course entitled Christianity Explored has been launched at Linn Primary School, Larne.

Running over seven weeks from Thursday, April 19 between 8-9.15pm, the relaxed and informal sessions are for people who would like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark’s gospel, they explore who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him.

Each evening consists of refreshments, a short DVD presentation featuring author and communicator Rico Tice, followed by a small group discussion. There is no charge for attending and participants will not be asked to pray, sing or read aloud.

Questions and comments are welcome, or if people prefer, they are welcome just to come along and listen. The event is being run by a large team of volunteers from three local churches – All Saints Church of Ireland, Craigyhill Methodist and Craigyhill Presbyterian – with help from local-born evangelist Graham McClellan.

Rev Andrew Kingston of Craigyhill Methodist said: “It’s been great to see the vision for Christianity Explored coming together and I’m really excited by it. It is my hope that many people from all kinds of backgrounds – whether they have a strong faith, no faith or somewhere in between – will come along and enjoy this course.”
