Mid Ulster Council chairperson hails Joe Curry's 60-mile charity run
Linda Dillon, Chairperson of the Mid Ulster Council recently met Joe Curry at the Magherafelt District Council Offices where she congratulated him on successfully completing his 60 mile run on his 60th Birthday.
Joe is donating the total proceeds of his fundraising event to the Alzheimer’s Society Mid Ulster Area. Councillor Dillon said: “It was an absolute pleasure to support Joe Curry who offers real inspiration through his fundraising events. The Alzheimer’s Society is an extremely worthy cause and I would encourage everyone to support them in any way you can”. Moira Shaw, local Volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Society, stated that it is only with the generosity of individuals like Joe, that people affected by dementia can get the support they deserve.
