Man guilty of harassment

A Lisburn man was handed a suspended prison sentence at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, after being found guilty of two cases of harassment against a man and woman, last year.

Trevor Noel Mulligan (53) of Wildeen, was sentenced to two months imprisonment suspended for 18 months after being found guilty of harassing Nicola Jess and her husband Ian.

In the first incident, it was found he harassed the victim between the dates of February 13 to April 19, 2014 and the other he harassed Ian between March 8 and April 19, 2014.

The suspended sentence was a custodial sentence imposed under the provisions of the Criminal Justice (NI) Order 1996. The defendant is to enter into a recognizance to prosecute appeal.
